All things eye part 3!!!

Here we are on part three of our eye journey. I'm not sure about all of you but I've learned a lot just while I was researching all of this even about what would look best in my own eye. Which was crazy to me because of its like I do my makeup every day why has this never occurred to me? Do any of you feel like this? Anyways I'm sure you are done with my rambling and just wanna know which eyelash is going to be the cutest on you right? Let's go!

You really have to decide whether or not you want lashes and if so what kind would you like? I personally love lashes they are my go to accessories if I don't do anything else I have to have my lashes! If you have chosen yes I want to wear lashes you now have to decide do I want individual or a strip. Individual lashes are great when you want to create a custom everyday natural look. I would not recommend doing a dramatic look with these due to the fact that they last longer than strips, and so unless you're going for a dramatic look every day it just won't flow the way you would want to. Strips are my favorite because I can customize them to my look every day.

Close-Set

Close set eyes as learned in the previous post are eyes that appear to be closer together. For this eye, I would recommend lashes that are going to help make them look as though they are separated out some. The best way to achieve this is to look for lashes that emphasize the outer corners.

Wide-Set

Wide-set eyes are eyes that look as if they are further apart, they are usually closer to the ears than they are the nose. For these eyes, we are going to want something that will help with the illusion that they are closer together. My recommendation would be to get lashes that main focus is on the center. Lashes like these might be medium length on each end and then long in the center.

Round

Round eyes are similar to Prominent eyes just not as big. They are eyes where you can see the whole iris and neither the top or bottom lid is cutting any of it off. With Round eyes we want them to have some kind of definition to them. The best lashes would be winged or wispies. They are lashes that start off small in the inner corner and then get gratuity bigger as they reach the outer.

Mono

These are eyes that from outer appearance seem to have no crease to their eyes. Although in the last post we have seen now to make it look as though you have one we still have to be picky with lashes. Those with mono eyes have found that sticking with something that is less dense and more fluffy are the lashes that most suits them.

Deep-Set

Deep-set eyes are eyes that seem to be in your heads 'deeper' than other eyes. Whether or not they are actually in there extra deep I don't know, they just look as if they are. These eyes get the lashes that are the most appealing to me. Deep-set eyes were made for the dramatic and long lashes! With eyes like these, you can pull off all of the crazy lashes you see on the runway during fashion week. You have no limit with how dramatic you want to be.

Hooded

Hood eyes look as if they have an extra layer of skin over the eye creating a little roof right there. No clue on why or how it happens what I do know is what lashes you would want for there though! Go with something that has tapered ends and a long center. It draws attention from your hood and focuses more on your lashes.

Almond

Almond eyes look like an almond! I'm not saying as in color but in shade. The have a cat-eye look in the inner corner and they are rounded at the outer. Theses eyes are cute but annoying. I'm a former makeup artist and I always felt as though I didn't do as well as I should have with these eyes. I don't know what it is. You want lashes that have a crisscross look to them. The goal is to create volume and not so much on the length. You can wear long lashes if you want just make sure the volume is there.

Down-turned

Down-turned and upturned eyes can both be determined the same way look straight ahead in the mirror and look at your outer corners. If your outer corner point at the ceiling your a upturned, if it's looking at the ground then its a downer. For down-turned eyes, you really want them to that the illusion that they are either straight or upturned. The spiked look is the one for you! These can also be explained kinda like the spider looking eyes.

Up-turned

Upturned eyes are determined they same as down-turned. Get yourself a mirror and look at the outer corner. Ask yourself, are they reaching for the sky or are they lazy and tired and sloughing to the ground? Upturned eyes are even cuter when they have a dramatic outer corner. Look for lashes that are going to draw attention to the outside.

Small

Natural looking eye

Where are all of my tiny sisters at? Yes I have small eyes, look at my picture sweetie I'm only 4'9 everything on my is small. How do you know if you have small eyes? Trust me you just know. I've tried to wear long lashes several times and each time I'm looking like a drag queen. Those of us with small eyes should stick to lashes that are medium length with a long outer corner. On days you want something that's more natural looking goes with a size small it will help give you more volume but still very natural in your eyes.

Prominent

My big beautiful round-eyed girls should already know whether or not this is them. Your eyes are bigger than others yes, but not uglier. Although it is said for round eyes (the smaller version of you) to have winged or wispies your eyes are not going for the small look. With eyes like these, you need something that plays with your looks. I would defiantly have to say to get lashes that focus on the middle. I would get something that also is good for length and volume, you have plenty of lashes to cover!

For some of you, I'm sure you had seen some characteristic in more than one category. So how do you decide which one suits you best? Easy go with your gut. Look and see which eye category fits you best. Another option, the one I do, is to wear two lashes at once so it helps complements your eye in every way. It's simple to start with whichever lash isn't as long as the other or that focus more on volume that's the one that will be in the back. Glue the lash line and then place it on the other lash. Once the glue has dried measure it and apply it to your lashes as you would normally.

Lashes are fun but now let's move on to Mascara! This is almost as important as your lashes. Which mascara you want to buy is really going to depend on you. There aren't any mascaras out there that can give you tapered outer corners and along the center, so it's harder to decided which is going to be more flattering for you. Ask yourself do I want something that's going to give me length or am I going for volume? Mascaras often change with the trends but there are they have been around for a couple years. Avoid trendy mascara look for what is best for you, not the models.

This section got longer than I had expected, who knew there was so much to speak on lashes! Due to this one's length, I have deiced to move eyebrows and eyeliner as part 4! Be on the lookout!
